Our Story
Great leatherwork starts with great materials—and finding the right ones shouldn’t be the hardest part of the craft.
Our journey began not as a business idea, but out of necessity.
After a full career in the U.S. Army, we chose to settle in Germany and begin the next chapter of life. Leatherworking had always been a passion, rooted in years spent around cutting quarter horses and western tack. In 2014, that passion turned serious with formal training at the Montana Horseman Saddle School near Belgrade, Montana. There, under the guidance of master saddlemaker Dale, the fundamentals of craftsmanship, patience, and attention to detail were learned—lessons that still guide our work today.
What started with western saddles quickly grew into much more.
As requests expanded beyond saddles into belts, tack, bags, and custom leather projects, a new challenge became impossible to ignore: finding consistent, high-quality leather, hardware, and tools in Europe was frustrating, time-consuming, and often unreliable. Matching hardware was difficult. Ordering small quantities was expensive. Ordering from overseas in bulk made more sense—but left shelves overflowing with extras.
That problem became the solution.
This shop was created to make it easier for fellow leatherworkers, craftsmen, and small businesses to get the materials they need—without the hassle. We source quality leather, dependable hardware, and practical tools that we would (and do) use ourselves. No gimmicks. No unnecessary fluff. Just solid products, clearly described, and ready to work.
We are a small, family-run business, and we take pride in that. Every product we offer is selected with real-world use in mind, whether you’re a professional maker or just starting your leatherworking journey. If it’s on our site, it’s something we believe belongs on your bench.
